Fo Guang Shan Teams up with Uxbrige Art Gallery

Howick Uxbridge Art Gallery’s curator Ms Toppings and manager Mr Morgan visited Fo Guang Shan on 12th June to discuss future co-operations. They were received by Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Juehao, BLIA North Island president Dolly Tsai, who toured the guests around the temple and especially the “Estuary art competition” exhibit in Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 1.

The two visitors praised this year’s pieces for their high quality and originality, especially the winning pieces for this year’s art competition. They also expressed the joy and peace felt from the temple’s solemn and elegant atmosphere. They hope to continue exhibiting works at Fo Guang Yuan art gallery on a long term basis. This will provide more room for local artists to shine, create better communication and affinities with overseas artists, as well as benefitting the local public. The Abbess is happily supportive of the proposal and agrees to assist this endeavour in every way possible.
