A visit to Elam School of Fine Arts for upcoming exhibition in February 2015
Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery North island supervisor, Venerable JueHao , BLIA member, Ms Pan and
FGS reporter, Ms Melody ; paid a visit to 2 artists Irena Keckes and nim Flora Chan at the Elam Schools of Fine Arts.
Ms Irena is doing her doctorate of fine art, her art techniques comprises the wood craved and watercolour painting. Her ideas are influence by the Buddhism school of Zen and the French literature.
Ms Irena’s art work will have both the western and eastern flair.
The second artist, Ms Nim Flora Chan, an immigrant from HongKong. She will completed her
Master in Elam. Her preferred art technique is using different size of the watercolour paint brushes and the Chinese calligraphy of different era.
Her art work will be based on vision, time, nature and birth through the strokes and flow of the brush and paint. Ms Nim hope her audience will feel the vast and long history of Chinese through her works.
These 2 artists are very pleased to have the opportunity to present their ideas and art work in FGS North Isalnd art gallery in Feb. 2015. They hope their works can give the audiences a new insight of the Buddhism philosophy and the spiritual awakening.
Ven Juehao is looking forward for their art works in the FGS art gallery and a demonstration at the opening ceremony.
