Counties Manukau Police Held Division Leadership Training Strategic Day at Fo Guang Shan
The Manukau Police high level strategy meeting was held on the 30th of
April at the Temple. The meeting was conducted by Police
Superintendent John Tims and was attended by 25 high ranking officers.
This is the second time that the Temple has been used for this meeting. A special thank you was offered to the Temple on their continued hospitality.
Venerable Abbess Manshin was invited to address the meeting and delivered
a speech on "The value and importance of teamwork" She shared Venerable
Master Hsing Yun's work about "Collective Creativity". Including important points such as collective efforts and wisdom, sharing, but not individual possession and modern society's emphasis on team work.
The Abbess also emphasised that teamwork can only be effective with
mutual respect and tolerance.
Inspector Richard Middleton, the Manukau Police Prevention Manager,
expressed gratitude and voiced that the Temple is their most favoured venue
for meetings. He commented on the tranquility and the atmosphere of
peacefulness that helps their officers make the best decisions.
