Weekly Sutra Discussion Group Karma

On January 19th the weekly sutra discussion group of FGS South Island was honoured to have Venerable Jue Xi present and share her understanding about Karma with 10 BLIA members. Venerable used “Yin Wu Sutra” as example and discussed the significance of Karma in life using what happened to Buddha as an instance. The group members had several questions about the story told and were pleased to have Venerable Jue Xi explain to them the meaning behind the stories. They became more aware of Karma and learnt the importance of it and the three precepts.

At the end of the discussion Venerable also encouraged BLIA members not to forsake Buddha’s teaching and to stay away for their own good, from bad influences. It was decided that the topic for next Sutra discussion group will still be about Karma.
