New Year’s Greetings Family Visit – BLIA East 2 Sub-chapter Member Zhen Yin Guo

On the morning of 18th February at 10:00am, Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Rulian, BLIA North Island chairperson Dolly Tsai, and 20 Fo Guang people were invited by East 2 sub-chapter member Zhen Yin Guo to her home to share Well Wishes for the New Year.

Mrs Guo and her husband Mr Xiao immigrated to New Zealand 17 years ago, and have had great success in the bakery business. During breaks they both volunteer at Fo Guang Shan, and during big events they always donated many pastries and treats for the temple to sell, thus actualising the spirit of giving promoted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.

The Abbess invited the couple to be a part of the food stalls for this year’s Buddha’s Birthday Celebrations, thus creating many good affinities. The Abbess also gifted Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s calligraphy “Honesty” on behalf of the temple to the hosts, encouraging everyone to cultivated oneself with honesty and sincerity.
