New Year’s Greetings Family Visit – BLIA Trustee Member Lily Bernardo

On the afternoon of 17th February 3:00pm, Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Rulian, Venerable Miaoyu and 22 North and South members visited BLIA Trustee member Lily Bernardo’s home to give New Year’s Well Wishes. Lily used to be East 2 sub-chapter’s chairperson, has been responsible for a decade of selling tickets for Buddha’s Birthday, always made generous offerings to the temple, and always took her responsibilities seriously. BLIA chairperson Dolly Tsai expressed that everyone should learn from Lily’s loving heart to uncover the quintessence of our lives, in order to repay the Triple Gem.

The Abbess led the group to recite the “Medicine Buddha Sutra” in order to bestow blessings of good fortune and longevity. On behalf of the temple, Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s calligraphy “Unwavering Advancement despite Life's Twists and Turns Lead to the Attainment of Wisdom and Fortune” was gifted to encourage everyone to treat all things with a heart of giving. At every moment we should use the spirit of giving to unify everyone’s causes and conditions. This way we can positively influence others and to discover everybody’s joy. From self-cultivation in accordance to the Dharma, we can unleash boundless potentials by leading a noble life.
