2012 BLIA Annual General Meeting

On 23rd of September, BLIA Fo Guang Shan South Island New Zealand had its annual meeting. We were honored to have Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Jue Xi and venerable Miao Yu to chair the meeting. Also present were BLIA president See Shen Lee and 50 other members.

During the meeting we heard reports from See Shen about the activities done in year 2011 and 2012. Tiffany, the treasurer gave a summary of BLIA’s finance. Presidents and representatives from the sub chapter delivered their speech as well during the meeting.

Not to forget there were a few important issues that were discussed in detail during the meeting. They were: promoting the love and care promotion team’s work; BLIA Summer Feast; BLIA Karaoke; Photography class and YAD’s fund raising musical performance next year.

Abbess shared a good news with the members during the meeting, which was, the selection of FGS as one of the “Superbrands” in New Zealand. She believed that this honor belonged to all the members who had contributed so much and encouraged them to uphold this pride.
