The Chair person of 2012 New Zealand IPANZ award organiser, Jeff Montgomery emailed those who have attended The 2012 IPANZ Gen-i Public Sector Excellence Awards on 26th July, including Venerable Abbess Manshin from Fo Guang Shan New Zealand. In the email, Jeff Montgomery mentioned:

Dear Abbess Manshin
The 2012 IPANZ Gen-i Public Sector Excellence Awards thank you for attending the Awards Evening on 27 June 2012 at the TSB Bank Arena Wellington.

To encourage excellence it is critical to celebrate success. This year there was much to celebrate. We received a record number of nominations; the projects were of high quality and involved a broad range of public and community organisations involved.

We would like to congratulate the winners of the Prime Minister's Award for Public Sector Excellence - the Ministry of Social Development, Department of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Education for Resolving Historic Claims of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Thank you for your participation in the 2012 IPANZ Gen-i Public Sector Excellence Awards.
Planning has commenced for the 2013 Awards programme and we will be calling for nominations in November.

Maori Pacific and Ethnic Services Cultural Response Team which lead by Superintendent Wallace Haumana have won three awards which are Excellence in Recognising Ethnic Diversity、Excellence in Crown-Maori Relationships – joint winners and State Services Commissioner Award for Excellence in responding to the Canterbury Earthquake.
