01 / 05

On 13th January, as a part of their “Summer children’s meditation camp”, 20 people including children, guardians and Venerables from the Thai WAT YARNPRATEEP Temple visited Fo Guang Shan Temple. They were welcomed by Minister in Charge Venerable Juehao to instruct the visitors on Buddhist etiquette and also gave them gifts.

The visitors were shown to the Main Shrine for Sutra recitation and silent meditation. This was followed by a tour of rest of the temple, the art exhibition and ringing the wishing bell.

The visiting children expressed that this first trip allowed them to feel the temple’s tranquility and peace. They are fortunate to be able to experience different temple’s culture for their summer camp, which also allowed them to obtain more knowledge and understanding toward Buddhism.
