Completion of Youth Adult Division’s Summer Camp
On 17th January, Young Adult Division’s team 2 held its summer camp closing ceremony. On behalf of their members, Tina thanked the Venerables and guardians for their nurture and care during this period. They also shared what they’ve learnt through the 2 weeks camp and expressed their feelings of joy and gratitude.
The youth also performance songs from the “Sounds of the Human World” series with hand gestures, including “Bodhi Mind with youthful strength”, “Flying high” and “Star and Cloud” for the ceremony’s audiences.
BLIA Advisor Dolly Tsai praised the youth’s diligence and their good fortune of being able to practice at the temple at such a young age; this is the best way to learn independence based on self-reliance. BLIA North Island President Stephan Xu congratulated the camp goers for their youth diligence and enthusiasm and encouraged them to come to the temple often, as they are the future of Buddhism.
Venerable Rulian praised the youths for the daily improvement and their display of faith by actively asking for Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s book. On behalf of the temple Venerable Rulian gifted the camp goers with “Passing Light” and “366 Days of meeting with the Venerable Master”. It is hoped these books can be reminders for the youths to be ever diligent and grateful and to put Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s “Three Good Deeds and Four Kinds of Giving” into their daily life.
