Counties Manukau District Advisory Board Xmas Luncheon Held at Fo Guang Shan
The “Counties Manukau District Advisory Board Xmas Luncheon” was held at the temple on 10th December. This event was attended by Superintendent John Tims, Wellington Superintendent Wallace Haumaha, Inspectors Rakesh Naidoo and Wendy Spiller and ethnic advisory board’s representatives.
Venerab ble Abbess Manshin, Minister in Charge Venerable Juehao, other Venerables and BLIA members were also invited by the police. Altogether 70 members in attendance enjoyed the event in a jovial and friendly atmosphere while being treated to a performance by the police choir. The Abbess welcomed everyone to the temple’s venue and reaffirmed that the temple the police share the same goal of bring harmony to society as well as facilitate multiculturalism. To this Superintendent Tims presented a plaque of merit to the temple to express their co-operation with th police for this great task.
Afterwards a video was played documenting the temple’s history of working hand in hand with the police. Therefore expressing the result of purify society with “3 Good Deeds and 4 Kinds of Giving”.
