English Sub-chapter Continues with Car Valet Fundraising Services Despite Rain
On 5th October, under the lead of Alan, 9 English sub-chapter members braved Auckland’s spring rain in order to continue the second session of car valet services in order to fundraise for remediation of the South Island Temple.
From 9:30am to 4:00pm, the ESC volunteers toiled through rain and cold wind to deliver 17 cars, which in some cases required a second washing due to being stained by the rain.
Afterwards, members expressed that not only have they raised for funds for the South Island Temple, it also improve the relationship and ability to team work between the members. This showed everyone’s faith in the Dharma has been strengthened. Team leader Alan encouraged everyone by confirming everyone’s excellent effort as well as maintaining the spirit of giving in order to service more people to create further good affinities.
