Manukau Police Reaffirms Support For Future “Festival of Cultural Sharing”
On 25th September, Peter Keveney from Manuakau Police visited the temple regarding further police cooperation for the next rounds of “Festival of Cultural Sharing”. He was received by Venerable Miaoyu, BLIA North Island Vice President Linda Daniell and Committee Member Sally Wong.
Office Keveney is responsible for youth education in the area, hence is grateful for Fo Guang Shan’s co-operation on helping to reduce youth crime rates in the Manukau area. For this trip he wished to have better understanding of the schedule and programs for the festival. He also confirmed that police contribution can provide even more interesting and benefitial activities for the youths attending, such as internet safety, personal safety and traffic safety etc.
Linda expressed that the last festival has yielded great results, hence this second instalment will surely develop further wholesome achievements. She is very happy for the police on this matter, together they will elevate levels of education and harmony in the community even higher.
