The lesson on the 3G4G - 3 Good deeds and 4 types of Gives by the Motivational Speaker – Uncle Bang.
Shortly, after the opening ceremony, the lesson on 3 acts of Goodness and 4 types of Gives by the Malaysian motivational speaker. The definition of 3 acts of Goodness is as followed: have good thought, do good deeds and says good speech. The 4 types of Gives is as followed: give other confidence, give others joy, give others hope and give others convenience.
Uncle Bang illustrate the core value of the <3G4G> with the used of video clip, music and song. To let the young understand life is not always about them and theirs needs and wants. And the young have to bear the consequences of their own decision-making, whether is a good or bad. This is to encourage the participants to widen their horizon, and set a good example for their peer, the family members and the society with the value of 3G4G.
This was a light-hearted session. Uncle Bang has prepared the 3G4G contents printed on a name card size, he gifted it to the participants.
Last but not least, Ven. MiaoYu conducted the lesson on the Buddhist etiquette. She illustrated the Buddhist way of greeting, half bow and incense offering and the personal attires when a layperson visits the temple.
The activities for day 1 were ended with a night chanting session led by several Venerable.
