Baby Blessing Ceremony for Buddha's Birthday 2013
On the afternoon of 14th April during the 2013 Buddha's Birthday Celebrations a Baby Blessing Ceremony was held inside the Main Shrine at 1:30pm.
Over 140 babies were brought in by their parents to receive blessings, which included 14 nationalities such as Kiwis, Australians Taiwanese, South Africans, Europeans, Chinese, Brazilians and other parts of Asia. Thus showing Buddhism is beyond national boundaries.
Venerable Abbess blessed the little ones with Buddhist chanting and sprinklings of holy water. The parents are overjoyed after receive such auspicous and compassionate blessings from the Buddha. Hoping that under the Buddha's proection their children will grow up with happiness, wisdom and fortune, and hoping they will conduct themselves with diligence and finesse. With Bodhi seeds planted unleash more values in their lives.
