Willowbank Teachers Visit Fo Guang Shan

On the afternoon of the 4th April 2013, Principal Deidre Alderson, and teachers of Willowbank School visited Fo Guang Shan. They were welcomed by Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Juehao, BLIA President Dolly Tsai and Fo Guan Chinese School Acting Principal, Lucille Lu.

It was confirmed that, having already sung at the temple for the last 2 years, that 60 students and teachers would again sing the New Zealand National Anthem during the Buddha’s Birthday Celebration on the 14th April.

Principal Deidre Alderson thanked the Abbess for the invitation and hoped in the future the teachers could attend a one day retreat to experience what it is like to live at the temple.

Venerable Abbess Manshin gifted Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s “366 Days with Wisdom” to the teachers.
