Musical Performance at the Pagoda
On the afternoon of 30th April, a spectacular music performance was held inside the Pagoda, where central sub-chapter chairperson Peggy Jan’s son Peter Lee performed famous classical pieces with his Cello. Audiences included Willowbank primary principal Deidre Alderson, NZ North Island BLIA president Dolly Tsai, and 50 other BLIA committee members.
Peter expressed that this is the first time he’s had the opportunity to perform soothing cello pieces under the sound the cascading water flow. Everyone in attendance is mesmerised by such a smooth and tranquil combination, where all hearts are touched and it is as if the ancestors residing inside the Pagoda are listening to the performance. The 40 minutes performance truly expressed the temple’s compassion toward all sentient beings and the appropriate mind set of a Humanistic Buddhism practitioner.
