TV3 Programme Cafe Secrets to showcase Waterdrop Vege Cafe on Sunday 12 August at 5pm
Popular TV3 programme Cafe Secrets' will be airing an upcoming colourful and exciting episode about Water Drop Vege Cafe on 12 August 2012 at 5pm. Café Secret is a new eight-part TV series that sees award-winning chef, café owner, and food writer, Julie Le Clerc, continue her quest to uncover New Zealand’s best kept café secrets.
The show's second season premiered on 29 July and the producers invited Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Rulian, Chairperson Annie Ng and her mother Lene to a launch party. It was held at Humbug Cafe where about 40 people were present; some from the various cafes that feature in the programme while others are sponsors.
Producer Kari Hall, director Maxine Clayton and show host Julie Le Clerc thanked each other for their team's efforts and shared their experiences traveling around New Zealand during the shooting, especially at Fo Guang Shan North Island's Water Drop Vege Cafe. Maxine made special mention that the crew had an interesting experience while filming at the cafe and was immensely thankful for cooperation and assistance provided by the Temple. The episode on Water Drop Vege Cafe is very unique and will leave a lasting impression. The crew also felt privileged to be able to film during Buddha's Day Multicultural Festival and witness the colourful celebration of multiculturalism and interfaith. Maxine encouraged all guests at the launch party to visit the Temple with everyone looking forward to this episode's airing.
