NZ Buddhist Youth share their experiences at ANZBYC
After an exhausting flight, 8 NZ Buddhist youth (YAD – Young Adult Division) came back to Auckland from Australia on the morning of 12th July. The youth went straight back to Fo Guang Shan North Island to express their gratitude toward the temple for providing them the opportunity to attend the “Australian and New Zealand Buddhist Youth Conference - ANZBYC”, as well as always giving them a place that allows learning and growth. Afterwards, the youth shared their experiences and thoughts from the ANZBYC with Venerable Abbes Manshin, as well as plans for the 2013 ANZBYC. They also showed appreciation for the support from their parents and Fo Guang Shang. From the recent travelling experiences, they’ve all realized the importance of prior planning and organization for long trips.
Under the guidance of the Abbess, these Fo Guang Youths developed further understanding of lessons learnt at the youth conference and life camp. These experiences will become valuable knowledge for their future development. Everyone is deeply grateful for all the support and tutoring they’ve received from all directions.
