Three Time Linked Recitation Dharma Function – Granting Wishes of Filial Piety to be Fulfilled

On the afternoon of 10th August after the “Ullambana Sangha’s Day Celebrations”, the final transferring of merit was done with a Three Time Linked Recitation Dharma Function conducted by Venerable Abbess Manshin and other Venerables, along with a congregation of over 250 people.

Afterwards the Abbess explained the meaning of the phrase “the ones with vows can take up responsibilities”. This is in order to encourage everyone to make big vows and aspirations, therefore able to actualise the Way through diligence and taking up responsibilities. From observing the recent nature disasters, calamities and accidents, it is hoped that everyone can be united to gather each other’s strength so merits can be transferred in order to wish for no more calamities and disasters will bring more suffering to the people.

The Abbess praised everyone’s diligent efforts. After years of joining the Dharma Functions, everyone’s discipline has clearly improved, which also improved the whole solemn atmosphere for the proceeding, hence she hopes everyone will continue to strive for more. She also praised the for devotee’s general food offerings, for it expressed everyone’s heart of filial piety.

The Abbess then thanked everyone’s support for the temple, allowing Buddhism to be continuously propagated. She sincerely wishes everyone’s wishes will come true and achieve future Buddhahood.
