Howick and Pakuranga Times Reports on “8th Estuary Artworks Exhibition” at Fo Guang Shan Temple

On 16th May, under the accompaniment of Howick Uxbridge Curator Emma Topping, Reporter Chris Harrowell and Cameraman Wayne Martin from Howick and Pakuranga Times visited the Temple in order to cover a story on the “8th Estuary Artworks Exhibition”. They were received by Fo Guang Yuan Gallery 1 Manager Venerable Juehao.

Venerable Juehao explained about Fo Guang Yuan Gallery and Uxbridge’s close relationship developed from numerous past co-operations. With the goal of enriching local culture, these exhibitions were organised to provide a stage to promote talented local artistry and allows the public to experience a wide variety of creative pieces. Every year’s Estuary Artworks Exhibition not only have touched the public’s heart visually, it is also hoped that the art work express awareness for the importance of environmental protection.

After this visit, Chris praised the Temple’s tranquil atmosphere and its ability to bring peace to body and mind. Exhibition of these artworks under such an environment will bring more value to the conglomeration of Buddhist philosophy and visual beauty.
