Fo Guang Bodhi Class – Be Our own Benefactors

On 18th July, Malaysian Motivational Speaker Principal Xie was invited to Fo Guang Shan to led the day’s Bodhi class for 10 members, where he also taught how to hand gestures for the song “Passing down Lights”.

Using inspirations from Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s words, Principale Xie expressed that everyone has their individual talents, so regardless how others see us; we should never look down on ourselves. We should be our own benefactors, be diligent, responsible, wise, and skilful. Then others will come to us and we do not have to seek them out. We should understand enjoyment and not possession, then we can build relationships with the entire universe. There is no such thing as being too old to play, in fact aging comes from lack of fun, so regardless of what one’s age is, they should always be humorous and laugh. We can still have dreams, and with determination, no matter how old one is, these dreams can come true. This way we will not regret not doing what we wanted within this life time.
