Accept with joy; shoulder the responsibilities with a carefree attitude – 2013 ANZBYC

01 / 23

The 16th ANZBYC has come to an end on the 15th July. There were participants from, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch, China, and Taiwan; a grand total of 180. We have no idea on the contents of their luggage upon arrival, but we are sure they have filled with knowledge at the end of the ANZBYC. The youth have been equipped with a pair of wings, allow them to fly further with a clearer sense of direction.

This ANZBYC has the support from the NZ Police force, the interfaith sessions were conducted by a chaplain and a university professor specialised with Art history, classic and religious studies, the help from the previous YAD leaders, the backup from the BLIA NZ and the Fo Guang Shan NZ Monastic. The interconnecting of these associations has created a positive cause and condition, and has definitely elevated the standard of the 16th ANZBYC.

The sixteen years on helping these young Buddhist to grow and develop, we are pleased to see the transformation from the young and innocent to the mature and wise.
There are lots of hard work and tears during this cultivation; on the other hand, the good positive outcome will bring lots of joy and happiness. To nurture a young human life is being denoted to the growth of a tree, and then the common point will be the foundation of the root. The stronger the foundation of the tree, the higher it will reach.

Some spend a lifetime to explore the essence of life and to seek for an answer in life. The ANZBYC has affirmed the youth with a journey of exploring, learning and experimenting. Every participle in the coordination of an event will be a step closer to the realization of life; and increase the quality of life.

We wish the youth the very best and hope the youth have found their direction, the strength to excel and their destiny.
