BLIA North Island NZ was invited to attend the Maori Pacific Ethnic Internal Support Network at the Mahurehure Marae Convention Centre, Auckland on 26th November. Venerable Miaoyu and Venerable Miaoyu together with Guowei and Nick from BLIA Youths. They demonstrated Tai Chi to the officers hoping can relax and benefit from it after their busy work.

The Venerables, Guowei and Nick taught about 90 police officers to practice Tai Chi on the stage with prepared music. They demonstrated abdominal respiration where eyes, hands and legs exercise were coordinated with breathing to achieve the balance of health. They officers all attentively practiced and followed all the systematic respiration and motions.

Guowei said that the police officers felt very relaxed after practicing Tai Chi and it was a gift to them as a method for relaxation. Venerable Miaoyu represented the temple to invite all the police officers to come and visit the temple when they have spare time. They can walk around the temple and try the vegetarian food there. In doing so, they can bring back plenty of positive energy to their homes.
