Delivery of “366” touched the heart of Christian Motel Owners
The 4th delivery of 253 copies of “366 Days with Wisdom” to 13 local hotels/motels was undertaken by Venerable Miaoyu, BLIA members Annie Chang, Pauline and Wang Meijuan.
One establishment that received delivery was the Astor Motor Inn. Even though its manager Steven is a Christian he still expressed that Buddhism is a good teaching for the world, therefore happily accepted the publication for his rooms.
The owner of Royal Park Lodge Bob Liu is touched at the temple’s kind gesture; in order to show his appreciation he donated a box of chocolate to the temple. Mr Liu thought this truly is a great way toward religious harmony. He will place the “366” books in 11 rooms for international visitors and the “365” books that are rich in Chinese culture will be placed in rooms reserved for Chinese visitors.
New Market International Motor Inn’s owner Alan also accepted many copies of “365” books for his ever increasing number of Chinese patrons.
Venerable Miaoyu expressed that even though owners of the 13 establishment consisted of many ethnicity with different culture and religious belief, but Venerable Master Hsing Yun's relatable wisdom and temple’s charitable gesture of sharing these books for free brought everyone closer, hence they all warmly welcomed the BLIA volunteers. Through the Venerable Master’s writing, seeds of Humanistic Buddhism shall be planted widely across New Zealand.
