Fo Guang Shan North Island Invited to Attend Waitangi Day Celebration

On 11th December, Matariki Festival Producer Mikki Tae Tapara and colleague visited the temple to invite members of Fo Guang Shan to join an upcoming “Waitangi Day Celebration” that will be held at Barry Curtis Park on 6th February. They were received by Venerable Rulian and Venerable Zhiming.

The Council members explained that since 2010, Waitangi day is always celebrated at Barry Curtis every year, and this time Fo Guang Shan is honourably invited to join in the festivity. The organiser’s planned to provide cultural and food stalls, as well as performances. This is in order to promote cultural exchange across the community.
