Police Superintendent visits Fo Guang Shan

01 / 05

On 6th December Manukau Police Superintendent John Tim and colleagues joined Venerable Abbess Manshin and BLIA member Sally for walking meditation and temple tour after completing the “Asian Advisory Board Meeting”.

The Abbess introduced to everyone each Shrine’s function, facilities and corresponding design. Expressing that not only can this temple provide the public with opportunities to pay respect to the Buddha, it is also a place to propagate the Dharma, education and culture. It’s also hoped it can enable the peaceful settlement of minds and refuelling one’s spirit to continue with one’s advancement in life.

Superintendent Tim is very happy to return to the temple again, regardless how long each stay is. Including attendance of conferences, which allows him to receive positive energy and naturally unleashes a sense of inner peace. This temple can provide visitors with purification of mind, uplifting of spirits, and inspiration within thoughts. Therefore he is appreciative of Fo Guang Shan temple’s contribution to the public community.
