The Completion of Coral Harnett’s Oil Painting Exhibition
The 2 month long exhibition of Coral Harnett’s oil paintings was successfully concluded on 19th March. Under the assistance of volunteers, Coral personally closed the exhibition and packaged the art pieces. This exhibition centred on the theme of “Cherry Blossoms”, “Water fall” and “Pines”. Under Coral’s brush strokes, the penetration of light and shadows expressed nature vividly, and showed a strong sense of life’s energy. During the exhibition period, many visitors praised the painting’s beauty and were touched by the artist’s kindness, passion and courage.
On behalf of the temple, Venerable Abbess Manshin gifted Coral with Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s calligraphy “Unwavering Advancement Despite Life's Twists and Turns Lead to the Attainment of Wisdom and Fortune.”, and the book “366 days with wisdom”. This is to thank her by giving everyone the opportunity to admire nature from a different perspective, and to receive the work’s positive resonating energy. It’s hoped that she will have many new creations to hold future exhibitions. Coral also gave one of her piece to the temple as gift, thus expressing her gratitude to the temple for allowing her to have the exhibition.
