Another Wonderfully Heart Warming Wedding at Fo Guang Shan

On the afternoon of 9th March a heart-warming wedding was held inside the Main Shrine. Kiwi groom Richard Powell and Thai bride Lisa Buadang took the next step into life’s journey under the blessing of Venerable Abbess Manshin, and 50 of their friends and family members. The Abbess consecrated this matrimony using Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s “Prayers for Buddhist Wedding”. Blessing the couple to have a joyfully fulfilling marriage, become a “Bodhi Couple” with good causes and conditions, have mutual respect, forgiveness and tolerance, and compassionately love each other for life. Buddhist prayer beads were then gifted to the couple.

Richard’s friend spoke to congratulate the couple’s good conditions of being able to be joined under such a wondrous Buddhist ceremony. Even though the brides families are still in Thailand and could not attend, but having so many friends to celebrate the occasion is truly fortunate.

Wonderful expressions of love were clearly visible on their faces. The witty groom often brought a smile to the bride, thus completing this touching ceremony.
