Alit and Erna, who are from South America, were looking forward to attending this Art buffet 2.0 after they saw an article of the February Art buffet on Howick & Pakuranga newspaper. From the tour of the Embroidery Exhibition, they expressed their amazement at the artworks made by Ms Yao Hongying, especially The Drunken Beauty which is breath-taking.

This Embroidery Exhibition has also attracted many New Zealand embroidery groups to visit. The Waitako Embroidery Guild were encouraged by the works of Ms Yao Hongying as it showed them more ways to improve their embroidery. 5 members from the East Auckland Embroiderers Guild said the embroideries are like 3D, for instance, the color of the Zhong Kui will vary by the light. The work of Ms Yao Hongying has brought inspiration to their mind which will help them further improve in the future.
Venerable Master Hsing Yun saying ‘Calm down, concentrate at your work, other than chasing money or fame, be yourself, your day will come’ inspired Ms Yao Hongying’s life, and supported her to continue her career in embroidery.
