BLIA’s Monthly Meeting - Participated in Charity Works

On the 20th November, 2016, Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island, New Zealand had held a regular meeting attended by President See Shen Lee, Vice President Elsa Lee and James Low, Sub-chapter President and all other BLIA member accumulating approximately 20 attendees.

Firstly, President Lee had reported the past activities that had held during the past months such as BLIA Headquarter Annual General Meeting held on October and Keynote Speech, “Consensus and Openness” by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. President had also expressed her thankfulness to all the BLIA South Island member for their hardwork and teamwork leads to an award, “Cultural Heritage Award” awarded by BLIA World Headquarter.

The adopted proposal are: One (1), To encourage people to actively support the City Mission Christchurch by providing food and daily necessities donations, participate in packaging and delivering material to Christchurch City Mission; Two (2), To encourage BLIA South Island member to participate walking activities once in every two months; Three (3), To encourage people to participate on the 17th of next month, the BLIA’s tea party for outgoing and incoming sub-chapter president and welcoming new members; Four (4), To encourage more people involving in the upcoming activities such as 2017 New Year Cultivation, Chinese New Year’s Reunion Dinner, Chinese New Year’s Eve Dharma Function and etc. Finally, President again thanked all the member for their attendance and hope that the association may organise more activities in the future for the benefit of the member as well as attracting new members.
