《366 Days of Wisdom》Books to Travel Lodge
Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island New Zealand continued its “Sharing wisdom with travellers” book donation drive in Christchurch, passing on the wisdom of Venerable Master Hsing Yun to visiting travellers. On the 15th of August, Fo Guang Shan (FGS) NZ South Island supervisor Venerable Jue Xi, BLIA South Island Vice President Elsa and James Low, BLIA Director Benny Wong, West one sub-Chapter president Mary Wong, and North one Sub-Chapter president Jessie Teo arrived at Aalton Motel on Riccarton Road to donate 15 book copies of “366 days” to Motel Owner Iain Percy.
Venerable Jue Xi commented on how these books of wisdom from Venerable Master Hsing Yun are especially meaningful for travelling tourists. They are especially well suited as bedtime reading for travellers far away from home, who can find some solace in the short stories that will provide a sense of guidance, and purposeful meaning into their heart and soul. Mr. Iain was very pleased and appreciative of the gift, hoping that visitors to his motel will find inspiration and wisdom from reading this collection of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s books. Also, he sincerely wished the FGS South Island temple a speedy recovery, so that travellers can have the opportunity to tour the beautiful temple, and be one step closer to the spirit of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Humanistic Buddhism.
