2014 International BLIA Youth Conference Attended by Youths from New Zealand
The annual “International BLIA Youth Conference was held at Fo Guang Shan Headquarter in Taiwan on 10th July. It attracted over a thousand BLIA youths from over 5 continents.
On night before the conference, Executive Chairperson of the BLIA Youth Group Venerable Huichuang spoke to the youths with the main theme of “power of visualising one’s dream” as promoted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. By emphasising the significance of the word “repetitive”, many meanings hidden within were revealed. For young people are often put off with doing repetitive things, but there are many wondrous things that can be learnt from repetitive action and many skills become proficient from habits obtained by repetitive actions. This is why the power of dreams can only be uncover by putting things into action. Fo Guang Shan’s speciality lies in group creation, joyful attitude and 5 harmonious conducts. Not only do we propagate the Dharma to others, what’s even more important is that we start a revolution toward ourselves.
This conference was attended by 5 youth representatives from New Zealand, who were warmly welcomed for their attendance along with rest of the youths around the globe.
