BLIA Members from Osaka F.G.S Visit Fo Guang Shan North Island New Zealand – Cherish Life
On 29th March, Osaka BLIA member Rong Ye and her family of 4 visited Fo Guang Shan North Island during their stay in New Zealand. They were welcomed by Venerable Abbess Manshin & Venerable Juehao.
Ms. Ye revealed that her friend and 6 other family members were unfortunately on board of the missing Malaysian Airline MH370, she came to the Temple to make a light offering and prayed for the family still hoping for a miracle to happen. The incident makes her revise the meaning of life and realize even more that life is impermanent, we shouldn’t bear any malice, toward each other, you never know what is around the corner, thus we should encourage ourselves and all others to cultivate Dharma more diligently and treasure what you possess now.
Venerable Abbess Manshin expressed don’t give life too much burden, fame and fortune are worth as little as a feather in life’s journey. After the MH370 incident, what we can do now is pray and appreciate the meaning of being thankful at the time, to be diligent using wisdom to overcome the obstacles, fully utilizing every moment to express the true value of life.
