BLIA Young Adult Division Committee meeting for ANZBYC

A committee meeting was held to discuss preparations for hosting the Australia New Zealand Buddhist Youth Conference 2013. The meeting was presided by Venerable Rulian and attended by 7 BLIA Young Adult Division members. Among issues raised were keeping costs to a minimum as the budget is very tight, arranging for more fundraising activities for the youth and delegating duties which included editing of news during the conference.

ANZBYC 2013's purpose is to foster positive moral values, teamwork, social skills and etiquette among youth participants as well as to enable them to make new friends. It will be based on the theme of 'Environmental and Spiritual Preservation' as promoted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, founder of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order.
