According to Venerable Champa Tsomo, she had been a volunteer worker in an Italian Tibetan Monastery for some time prior to her ordain as a Venerable by Venerable Master Gangchen Rinpoche 5 years ago. Her present trip to Christchurch was purely to accompany, console and lend support to a friend who has just suffered the loss of a husband. To help her friend walk out of her grieves, Venerable Champa Tsomo suggested that they paid a visit to FGS South Island and had their meal in the Water Drop Cafe. While meditating in the Buddha Hall, Venerable Champa Tsomo was elated by the presence of positive energy field there. In her speech afterwards, Venerable Champa Tsomo was full of praise for Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s wisdom and vision in propagating Humanistic Buddhism, and hoped that her friend would visit the Temple more often and make good use of its facilities.

Later, Venerable Jue Xi treated the visitors to a meal in the Water Drop Cafeteria and presented to each the book ‘366 Days with Wisdom’. Before her departure, Venerable Champa Tsomo thanked Venerable Jue Xi for her hospitality and expressed her wish to return for another visit next week.
