Walking Group visit FGS South Island Temple - Viewing a Creative Exhibition

On 13th January, 12 members from Hunterwise walking group visited Fo Guang Shan (FGS) south Island temple. The group has visited the temple regulary and happy with the tranquil atmosphere of the temple. Every visit, they will enjoy refreshments and meals in the waterdrop cafe and visit Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch.

Art Gallery staff Juin-Mei guided the group with latest exhibition After a Thousand Miles –Wen Jun Hsu World Tour Exhibition. The group member was amazed by the unique sculptures by Artist Wen Jun Hsu. They amazed by the concept and material of the sculptures. While viewing the After a Thousand Miles sculptures, they learned about Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s dedication toward Buddhism and history of the Dharma propagation. In addition, they also highly praised the oil painting works with multiple OX series, which expresses that the Ox's expression and its charm.

Juin-Mei also introduced the group with upcoming events held in the temple, including the opening ceremony of After a Thousand Miles –Wen Jun Hsu World Tour Exhibition and Light and Art Show on 14th January. The walking group was amazed by the dedication of the temple and hoped these activities will fill Christchurch with hope and joy.
