01 / 05

On 18th July 2020, led by its leader Christine, 26 members of Chirpy Plus visited Water Drop Café, Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island. According to Christine, Chirpy Plus, once a month, organises an eat-out gathering for its members. This time around, Christine had chosen Water Drop Café as the venue after the recommendation of a friend who had vouched for the delicious food served there.

Although non vegetarians themselves, the Chirpy Plus members were full of praises for the Café’s vegetarian food, and were engaged in happy chatting among themselves in the conducive environment of the Café. In order to give the members the opportunity to taste more variety of vegetarian food, Café Manager Cao Qian introduced to them the coming ‘Blessing Chocolatte 2020 - Coffee and Chocolate Festival CHCH’, scheduled for next Saturday. In addition to the Food Fair serving delicious food, coffee and chocolate drinks, the Festival programme will include live performance by Artists, and Talk on Chocolate Making by SHE Chocolate. The members showed much interest in the Festival and requested for Entry Tickets. After their meals, Chirpy Plus members adjourned to the Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery. Some of them were first time visitors to FGY Art Gallery. They were impressed by the art pieces on exhibition there, and were full of praises for the elegant and artistic ambience of the Gallery. They promised to return for future visits.

The Chirpy Plus members were very satisfied with the food served in the Café, and had booked the Café for their next month’s gathering. Christine expressed her intention to organise more visits to FGS South Island for the members so that they can get to understand the Temple and Humanistic Buddhism better.
