Visit of Deputy Director Wenhsin Yin of TECO in Auckland to FGS Auckland

On 14th January 2022, the Deputy Directors and Senior Secretary of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Auckland, Mr Wenhsin Yin, Mr Eric Liao and Ms Sabrina Ya, visited FGS Auckland. There were about 20 Temple’s representatives who welcomed their arrival, including FGS NZ Abbess Manshin, Minister in charge of FGS Auckland Venerable Rulian, Venerables, President of BLIA North Island Ms Yu-Lin Ku, Deputy President Mr Nick Yoong, the Executive Principal of Fo Guang Chinese School Ms Ika Tseng and BLIA members.

As Abbess guided the guests to the Main Shrine, she led them to make a flower offering. In addition, Abbess also explained the origin of the Triple Gem Mountain in Taiwan. In her words, Venerable Master Hsing Yun constructed the Buddha Museum not only to enshrine the Buddha's relic but also to showcase Taiwan to the world. After that, Ms Ika outlined the infrastructure and future development of the Chinese school. She appreciated the Temple's massive support and hoped to promote the Chinese culture and practice the spirit of the Three Goodness and Four Givings with the Temple.

Abbess presented the guests with auspicious red packets and the Venerable Master’s new year couplets. Moreover, Abbess also presented the BLIA activities reports to Deputy Director Yin and his colleagues, enabling them to understand the Temple’s activities in the local community.

Deputy Director Yin expressed his gratitude to the Temple for the warm welcome. He also mentioned that he had attended the 2019 Buddha's Birthday Festival. He was deeply touched by the contributions made by FGS Auckland in cooperation with schools, police and artists to enrich culture, education and art in the local community. Together with the Temple, he hopes to add more value to New Zealand's community.
