The 8th 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing_Session 20 & 21 Education Program in Constructing Mind

On 24 May 2022, there are 175 of Year 3 & 4 students from Otahuhu Primary School, along with Homai Primary School's 120 students from Year 4 & 6 were led by teachers and parents to participated The 8th 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing in FGS Auckland.

Jenny Bernard, who recently took the role as Principal of Otahuhu Primary School, came to the education program with the students today. She expressed that the "Three Goods and Four Giving" education program enhance and support the school core value, which educating the students to become a good people, and this is what the school want to achieve. She appreciated the team organising the program and was surprised to find out there is such a calming and peaceful place in Auckland. Jenny said she would definitely share about the Temple to more people.

A total of 6 police officers came to support the program. The students were very excited to see so many police officers coming and asked many questions. After the activities, a student especially expressed the hope of taking a picture with the police and said she would also wish to be a police officer one day. Many parents came to the Temple for the first time. They said that it's unbelievable to realise here is such a beautiful place and would bring their families to visit in the future.

It was the first time Homai Primary School participated in the event. Deputy Principal Nirvana Rao expressed that the concept of 3G4G is in line with the school's values. She can feel that the students like the Temple very much and enjoy each activity. A teacher especially praised the Temple's architectural style, making her feel peace of mind.

One student shared that her favourite activity was watching the video "The Life of the Buddha". Through the video, she learned to help others and to learn from the Buddha about the attitude of treating everyone equally. Before leaving, the students thanked the organising team one after another and did not forget to say that the Laba Rice was delicious!
