The 8th 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing_Session 10 & 11 Wonderful Wishes by Teachers & Students

On 12th May 2022, approximately 400 students, Year 1 to 6, from Flat Bush Primary School participated in The 8th 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing for their first time. They were accompanied by over 60 teachers and parent-helpers.

In the lotus origami session, the students demonstrated the spirit of team work. They helped each other in making the beautiful lotus origami together. Particularly, student David took initiative to tidy up the waste paper after finish his origami. He also had five bowl of Labe Rice prepared by the Temple, he shared happily ‘This is my 5th bowl, it is so delicious!’. The refreshment Laba Rice was a hit for the students, and commented ‘Lets have some yummy yummy rice’

In the Prince Siddhartha Exhibition, the students enjoy writing the wishing card and pin in on the wall. One student wrote ‘Hope grandma is still alive and can see grandma again’, there were also student who put down ‘Wish to bring more love and care to the family; wish to have additional family members.’ Some students made wishes for the future, wish to be more brave, wish to become a firefighter, violinist, outstanding leader and so on. There were others who wished for world peace, hoped for a better world, without wars, and everyone in the world can be treated fairly. Students also thanked for the Temple for the wonderful day, wishing to come back to the Temple again.

Principal Banapa Avatea and Deputy Principal Janeta Mayerhofler came along with the students and took part in the activities. At the exhibition, Banapa wished for ‘Happiness and peace for the family and students.’ Janetta thanked the Temple for providing the valuable opportunity to the teachers and students to visit the Temple, as well as the amazing educational activities. The value of 3G4G provides positive guidance to the students, they hope to have more interactions with the Temple in the future.
