Pottery Art Warmed Up the Clouds

Christchurch famous Pottery Artists Marie Rusbatch-Dawson, Averil cave, Anne Pullar, Ngaire van Grondelle and Gaye Morton have prepare their “Clay in Hand – The work of five potter” Exhibition on 14th July. At 11 am an opening ceremony tea party has conducted in Fo Guang Yuan Art gallery New Zealand Art Gallery 2. Marie and other two pottery artists together with Fo Guang Shan (FGS) south island supervisor Venerable Jue Xi have perform a ribbon cutting session and welcome more than 40 art lovers with humble atmosphere.

Venerable Jue Xi given speech that FGS south island and Fo Guang Yuan Art gallery New Zealand Art Gallery 2 is the gift from Fo Guang Shan’s Founder Venerable Master Hsing Yun that presented for Christchurch residents, everyone welcome to utilize this wonderful space. Venerable Jue xi also appreciated pottery artists that have created a lot of pottery art works for this exhibition, the art works have brought vibrant colour to this Art gallery. Potter Artist Marie given on behalf of four other Artists that they appreciated Fo Guang Shan helping them to hold this exhibition; with Venerables and Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) members friendly and considerate attitude which make these artworks can be shown. Maris also stated after the Christchurch quake, many pottery association and members dismissed; but today when they saw the old friend and new face to come to join this opening ceremony make them felt humbler and appreciate.

Art lovers have come to visit pottery work of the five artists and also having some light snacks that prepare by the art gallery 2. Some visitor have said their thought appreciate Fo Guang Shan provided such suspicious space and created a lot condition to that inspired Christchurch city and also bring lot of hope and happiness to the Art lovers.
