“Pioneer of Stitch” Embroidery’s Artwork by ANZEG
Member of Association of New Zealand Embroiders Guild Inc (ANZEG) has a good impression while visiting New Zealand Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2. Art Gallery 2 Public Relation See Shen Lee and member of ANZEG Mrs. Glenys Fry have met and have several meeting of planning to exhibit the Association’s winning embroidery artworks in the Fo Guang Yuan Art gallery 2.
On 6th July 6pm, New Zealand Fo Guang Yuan Art gallery 2 have organised a special opening ceremony tea party for Association of New Zealand Embroiders Guild Inc. to exhibit their members various range of winning embroidery artworks. This year the exhibition theme “Pioneers of Stitch” is celebrating the pioneers of New Zealand Guild that contribute on developing of Western art embroidery. About 212 members of ANZEG from have gathered to share the moment.
President of ANZEG giving speech that she appreciate the arrive of VIP and guests, the majesty and solemn space of Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery, delicious vegetarian and the help of all volunteers which make this opening ceremony happen. In New Zealand Fo Guang Yuan Art gallery Curator Venerable Abbess Manshin Speech that thanks for every support and coming. Venerable Master Hsing Yun appreciated the importance of art and culture, by propagating dharma through art and culture around the world. By using the humanistic Buddhism to promote three good deed “saying good words, doing good things, having good thoughts” to build harmony society. Abbess stated the embroiders artist are art lovers, because of their passion attitude hence the quality artworks produced, and shows the best artworks to public. Also due to artists’ determination, it helps the shaken city to move on and rebuild the confidence Christchurch. Abbess also invited everyone to the Cut Silk artworks exhibition that currently exhibit in North Island Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery.
