BLIA NZ’s Executives Meeting I Am Part of Team

On 7th July 9 am, Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) held two days one night “BLIA North and South Island Gathering Activity.” 44 BLIA NZ members including Fo Guang Shan New Zealand Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Miao Yu, Venerable Rulian, BLIA South Island President See Shen Lee, BLIA North Island President Dolly Tsai, Advisor John Lai gathered around Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island. Benny and Tina lead the members by performing hand gestures from Rhythm of the World song “Three Good Deeds,” and the dance “When there is Dharma, There is a Way,” and also learned the wisdom words of Venerable Master Hsing Yun.

The BLIA New Zealand’s Executives Meeting which held at 10 am and hosted by BLIA North and South Island Presidents Dolly Tsai and See Shen Lee, Abbess Manshin, Venerable Rulian, Vice President Louisa Kuo presented. Discussed Agendas were: 1. Conducting a welcoming party for BLIA North and South members; 2. Encourage BLIA New Zealand members to join the “Care for Earth, Recycling Material Reuse” Competition; 3. Encourage BLIA members to participate in “2012 Fo Guang Shan Ullambana Festival” on 2nd September in IBT Auckland; 4. Encourage BLIA members to join the “Mid-Autumn Festival and Youth Education Fund Tea Party”; 5. Encourage BLIA New Zealand members to participate in the “2012 BLIA World Headquarters General Conference”; 6. Encourage BLIA New Zealand member to participate on the trip to DaJue Temple in China; 7. Invite BLIA member and those who interest to participate the “2012 south Island Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner”; 8. East Two North Sub chapter of Auckland will start the garage sales for their chapter’s funds; 9. Encourage BLIA members to join 2013 FGS New Zealand events such as Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner and Buddha’s Birthday.

Abbess encouraged them to cultivate will give arise to self-awareness and inner strength through daily diligence to develop more positive energy, by practice the dharma it will enhanced our life experience. We must remember “I am part of the team,” by collaborative creation and promote the “three good deeds and four givings.” Having this spirit will fulfill all events. While helping others to succeed, also helping ourselves to succeed, and gaining the nutrition of life through serving others.
