Journey to‘Transform and Contribute Youth Conference’in Christchurch

On Friday 4 July, Linda Chiang, the Chairman of BLIA Young Adult Division Auckland and twenty-four members of BLIAYAD, Venerable Miaoyu and two mothers, met at Auckland Airport to begin their journey to Christchurch, in the South Island, to participate in the ‘Transform and Contribute’ 2008 Australia New Zealand Buddhist Youth Conference to be held from 4th – 7th July 2008. Venerable Manwang, went to the Airport to meet the Auckland delegates for 2008 ANZBYC and encourage them to cherish this rare opportunity and condition to be able to share and learn from each others growth and experiences. According to previous statistics this is the largest number of youth to have taken part in ANZBYC.
