A Pleasant Winter Surprise Snow-Covered FGS
Christchurch New Zealand welcomed its first snow this year on 6th of June and the city was covered in a snowy white coat once again. The snow started falling at about half past seven and the road traffic was badly disrupted by the snow, even the metro bus service had to be cancelled from 3pm onwards. Christchurch airport, despite the snow, continued to operate although Air New Zealand had to cancel all the flights for safety reasons. As a result of this unexpected event, 3500 families lost energy supplies to their houses and many schools declared Wednesday a holiday. The last time we had such weather was probably years ago.
In BLIA South Island NZ, the statues were beautifully covered with snow, which makes this ground even more solemnities. It was a day off for the temple as well, though a small tea-gathering was held for the BLIA executives and the volunteers, giving them a chance to have a sip of Zen and enjoy the beauty of nature.
