Twelve members of the Christchurch Silver hair senior scout, the “Church Corner Trefoil Guild” toured the FGS Art Gallery on the 22nd May, a visit arranged by Leigh Craythorne and guided by the art gallery’s tour guide See Shen Lee. Firstly, the scout toured the “Tram Chin-ho calligraphy exhibition”, Ms. Lee explained the underlying intension and literary inspiration of Tram’s calligraphy painting.

Afterwards, the group then went upstairs to look at “Zi Kai Feng and Yi Ying Feng Life Prose Poetry Comic Exhibition”, the guide gave introduction to the timeline of both artists, and explained the individualism found in their artworks from an obvious aspect, the calligraphy font written can differentiate whether the artist is the father or daughter. The father’s work can find more originality, whilst some of the theme used in the daughter’s painting can find influence from her father. The visitors praised the remarkable individualism found in both exhibitions. Both exhibitions are categorized as Chinese arts. However, their demonstrated strong individuality brings new life to the artistic field of this form of art.
