FGS South Island Celebrated Mother's day

This week is the annual mother's day celebration; Fo Guang Shan South Island New Zealand held a series of activities for celebrating such an event. On the 11th May at night there was a special blessing Dharma function for Parent and on the same day there was a special exhibition for icing sugar decoration at the South Island Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 New Zealand. On Mother’s day 13th May Tea House Café promoted a mother’s day special meal and draw, this promotion was support by many of the customers and had good feedback.

On the Mother's day Tea House café had lots of customers entering starting from 11am, many were big families and came for meal, and they all hoped to celebrate this grand day for their mothers. After meal customers all enjoyed seeing many of the decoration art works made by icing sugar at the Cake decorating exhibition. The all of them participated in the prize drawing activity held by the Christchurch Hillmorton Cake Decorating Association. The grand prize was given to a ten month old child, Harvey, the family held very delightful of having such an amazing and surprising prize on Mother's day.

Tea House café had 171 customers for the mother’s day celebration; approximately 150 customers went for the Cake Decoration Exhibition. This year’s Mother's day gave special warmth and feeling to all mothers that came to celebrate.
