Warmth and Sweet Cake Decorating Exhibition

In order to bring a different atmosphere to mother's Day this year, FGS Art Gallery held an one and only cake-icing exhibition on the 11th May. The event was principally sponsored by Hillmorton, the Christchurch cake decorating association. The association president Shona and secretary Penny along with other association members cooperated on these beautifully hand-made cakes. There were all kinds of cute decorations, for example, the little bride and groom, big red flower and little hut, having the visitors truly fascinated. Penny also gave live demonstration on shaping a cake icing into a groom and introduced other “hand-made” characters to the viewers one by one. The team also demonstrated how to shape subtle little flowers out of icing. There were over 100 visitors on the day, and the exhibition fulfilled this mother's day, hoping that the Christchurch mothers could have the weekend bathe in the warmth and sweetness of this exhibition.
