Experiences Sharing from BLIA Session
The nine student s from the 27th Term Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Srimala College were sightseeing the big rock of Castle Hill. They experienced the beauty of nature and natural, and felt the energy of life in that widen field on 19th April morning. In the evening, FGS dharma lecture Rona Chen covered the topic of “May all beings find security in friendship, peace and loving care” for the students. Rona Chen explained while accumulate the merit and wisdom through cultivate Buddhism; we must also create the self merit and enhance our wisdom. She was delighted in the journey of cultivate the Buddhism, she became Venerable master Hsing Yun’s lay disciple. She encourage students must cherish the merit and make a good connection with mankind, just like Venerable Master have make a peace and loving care through the five continent via propagate the humanistic Buddhism.
On the next day 20th April, Srimala students continue their learning with Buddha Light International Association (BLIA) advisor John Lai. He covered a life experience which is “When motorway encounters with the lavender”. John Lai have shared his experience and condition of how he migrant to New Zealand and end up with research and planting lavender. John Lai reminded three points that should apply in daily life for students which are: be honest, morality and do not look down others. Srimala Students found that the session is enjoyable and understand to propagating the humanistic Buddhism in New Zealand is not an easy task. Advisor John Lai appreciated the student have give him a chance to share his experience and he wished the student of Srimala can gain confident in the journey of cultivate Buddhism.
